I had the best first experience here years ago and each time I go back since it's been such a disappointment.

I went in for a salad and I wasn't told they were out of salad dressing until after they made the salad. There's no point in a salad without dressing so I asked for a burrito instead and the worker seemed annoyed with the request. I waited 20 extra minutes to get the fajita veggies on it because they had ran out making the salad. I get home and open my burrito and it was absolutely drenched in oil along with the bag. It looked like they poured the whole pan of veggies and oil straight into the burrito. It was disgusting.

I figure, maybe I should give them another chance so I ordered a salad and veggie taco through DoorDash. I open my salad and there's no dressing and my taco has no salsa. Thank you Chronic Taco for sending me the most bland meal I've ever had. I can't leave work to get it corrected hence why I ordered it online and I was once again disappointed in their service. Will not be returning.

I'd heard a lot about the Chronic, so when I found myself up in Orange, I had to check it out.

I'm a vegetarian (go ahead, laugh, get it out), so I was pleased to find they had "veggie" tacos. OK, they're just tacos without the meat in them, but it's the thought that counts!

I got the veggie tacos on corn tortillas, filled with white rice, black beans, cheese and some hot & medium salsa. Oh, and guac. And they were awesomely tasty. Messy, but tasty. This ain't a place to impress a first date with your dainty eating abilities. The taste is a little reminiscent of Chipotle, which isn't authentic, I'll give you, but yummy.

After my first trip, I found myself craving those darned tacos! So I keep going back. I also took my 5-year-old son here. He got the beef tacquitos kids meal with sour cream and shredded cheese on top. He, one of the pickiest eaters ever, loved them. "Mommy, I want to keep coming to Chronic Taco," he said. Now, there's an endorsement! They even gave him stickers, so props for that!
