Probably the best restaurant that Escalon has to offer. Because of the small size of the town itself, there is rarely a time that you would have to wait for a table. The service is friendly and quick. The chips and salsa are just a touch better than ok. The salsa is usually mild at best and looks mostly like it was made from semi ripe tomatoes. It lacks the nice red color that you get from ripe fresh tomato, but it serves its purpose just the same. The chips are normally served warm, but for me, they are onthe thin side. I personally prefer chips that are made of flour tortillas that have been fried to makecrispy. All of the menu items are flavorful, and very reasonable in price. This is my go to restaurant for Mexican food. Much better than what Modesto has to offer.

Had a business lunch here Monday. Love this place. No noise. Service was immediate and continually attentive without being intrusive, but the food... Oh my goodness. The food was delicious. The chips were obviously made there. So fresh and crisp. The salsa was fresh and perfectly seasoned. So good. I had chicken enchilada Verde and it was the best I've ever had. Everything was fresh. Plus, you get your choice of corn or flour tortilla! Who does that? This place does! The price was downright inexpensive, too. I love this place and will be back.
