  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Then you need to add ground to this mixture so that the marinade coats the steak. Then squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours overnight.

Great to see Taco Palenque in South Padre. This is a small location made for take out. They are following Covid protocols to keep things safe. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We went with our favorite, beef fajitas. It comes with rice, beans,  chips, and all the fixings. Delicious! The beef was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The flour tortillas were freshly made, hot, and soft. And grab the salsas, all are fantastic. Any place that leaves the kids and parents satisfied is a winner. And Taco Palenque is a winner.

We had Taco Palenque for dinner and it was delicious!

We had the«Parillada» for 2, beef and chicken combination. Their portions are very generous. Beef fajita was tender and full of flavor, chicken fajitas were equally amazing, juicy and well seasoned.

Drinks– Aguas Frescas– unlimited refills!!!

Very clean and colorful salsa bar, 3 salsas, jalapeños, Pico de gallo, guacamole, shredded lettuce, cole slaw and last but not least, freshly fried corn tortilla chips.

Handmade flour and corn tortillas.

If you're in search of a Mexican meal that's served in a clean environment, that's a great deal and most importantly delicious then look no further - Taco Palenque is the place for you! We have not been disappointed with anything we've ordered, the portions are very generous and I sometimes think they have a Mexican Abuela creating magic in the kitchen. Great value, delicious food and generous portions - what else can you ask for? Alcohol you say, well they have that too.
